Richard Todd Memorial Award

At the recent World Congress for Psychiatric Genetics conference in Athens, Greece, Dr. Buxbaum had the honor of receiving the Richard Todd Memorial Award for his ground-breaking work. This award is given for “outstanding contribution to the genetics of child psychiatry.” At the conference presenters made specific mention of Dr. Buxbaum’s work with the SHANK3 gene, autism, and Phelan-McDermid Syndrome.
